Sharon is our massage therapist at Dynamic Chiropractic Clinic. She attended Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle, graduating & becoming licensed as a Massage Practitioner in 1990.
Since then, she has accumulated continuing education training in such courses as Structural Integration, Palpation of the Belly, Anatomy Trains, Intrinsic Musculature of the Pelvis, introductory work in Craniosacral Therapy, and Advanced Massage Methods. In 2008 she began working for chiropractic clinics, helping to resolve injuries & reduce pain from tension patterns.
Further training has included Electro-Lymphatic Drainage Level I & II with Jennifer Gramith, ND, and certification as a Colon Hydrotherapist through California Coastal School of Colon Hydrotherapy. These modalities inform the “deep tissue” perspective – proving that less can be more in assisting the relief of discomfort via an understanding of the body as primarily fluid.
Sharon came to massage and alternative healing in a quest to resolve her *own back tension and physical complaints, since she started out with significant spinal curvature – as well as autoimmune concerns – which have substantially resolved.
Sharon currently pursues training in Advanced Massage Techniques with Jeffrey Burch, and Recall Healing with Michelle LaMasa Schrader.
Her approach to fascia undergoes continual refinements; it often incorporates movement in the form of interactive stretching on the part of the client.
Sharon looks for misalignments as clues to reversing restriction patterns. Nearly three decades of tactile on-the-body learning contribute to swift perception via palpation! However, massage is a field where learning is ongoing. Clients themselves have proven to be the best teachers in their recovery.
