Invertrac, Frutol, The Four Pillars program, Strassburg Sock, and the Therapeutica Pillow
- The most important nutritional supplement I know to take is fish oil. I have seen no other nutritional supplement that Americans need more, witht he lack of fish we eat, and I have seen no downside to it. Taking to much will simply increase the speed of exit from your body, taking too little has links to dementia, bad skin, depression, a whole host of maladies. It is my opinion (Dr. Carr speaking here) based on the research that fish oil, or omega 3's, are most invloved with ectodermal tissues : hair, skin, eyes, nails, and some cardiovascular tissues. So there really is no downside to fish oil except for the taste. Searching for a product that had the benefits of fish oil without the taste, I stumbled along a company that blends fish oil with essence of orange oil, that actually tastes GOOD! The product is creened for mercury, and is blended with berries or tropical fruits. I sell both in my office, for almost wholesale.

- While researching the fish oil, I discovered that the company is actually better known for its probiotics. Probiotics, for the uninitiated, is the introduction of "good" bacteria into our bodies as a competitive inhibitor of "bad" bacteria. Well, Pharmax has a product that does this, and has some of the most bioavailable vitamins on the market, as well. So I carry their Four Pillars product, essentially a vitamin, fish oil, antioxidant, and probiotic all in one package. It's easy to take and takes most of the guesswork out of nutrition.
- The next product we carry is the Therapeutica Pillow. It's the only pillow we've ever carried and for good reason: It works. There are literally hundreds of pillows out there, but the American Chiropractic association approves only one. It is essentially two pillows in one, and because it is made of polyurrethane foam it doesn't allow dust mites to reside within it. Because the pillow does not change its shape every n ight, it leads ot a consistency of sleep that many people have been craving. It's been our experience that patients with occipital neuralgia, or cervicogenic migraine, almost respond 100% better with this "neck orthotic" in place.
- The next products are specialty items. One is used for the treatment of disc injuries, and it's called the Invertrac. It introduces gentle traction to the lumbar spine, thereby decompressing the disc and relieving pain.
- The last product is our funniest one, the Strassburg Sock. It has two uses, one for the treatment of Plantar Fasciitis, and a secondary purpose as a contraceptive device, because it looks so funny! Essentially a sock with a strap on it, it activates the connective tissue of the foot as you sleep, stretching out the plantar fascia and radically decreasing pain, especiallyin the morning. One of the easiest diagnosis to make, plantar fasciitis is typically characterized by a stabbing pain in the bottom of the foot, especially after waking.
